October 30, 20178 yr Some of my good buddies and I have been spit-balling about how you could ACTUALLY try to do something like this without having to sit down and take sips out of 32 cans of beer. I got to thinking about it, and I figured it could make for a fun project with our poll feature here on BGP. Everybody here seems to have an opinion about everything, so why not see what we can get figured out about beer using those opinions. So I put together a list of 32 North American domestic beers following a few guidelines: All beers must be cheap. A 6-pack of 12oz cans/bottles MUST be under $9, ideally under $7. All beers must be marketed to a large region of the United States - more than 6 states. No beers that are primarily marketed as craft beers. No flavored/fruited beers (e.g. - Bud Light Lime). No Mexican cerveza-type beers. No beers that are primary marketed as a "malt liquor" (e.g. - Colt 45, Mickey's, Olde English 800). After I picked the beers, I assigned them numbers, and created a single-elimination style tournament bracket using randomly selected pairings. Here's what I came up with. October 30, 20178 yr The winner of High Life/Natty Light loses to Yuengling in the finals. That's a stacked bottom bracket, though beating out Bud, Bud Light, and the Cinderella, Hamm's is no small task.
October 30, 20178 yr I'd struggle drinking most of these anymore. This. Final Four almost has to be Yuengling vs. Budweiser and High Life vs. the Banquet beer IMO.

October 30, 20178 yr Fun thread. I've had all but Hamm's (which I've also never heard of). Budweiser, Yuengling, and PBR should be three of the final four. I still drink all 3 of those on occasion.
