Whether you like it or not, saying Schiano very likely knew about it is incorrect. If it was suspected that he knew about it then it would have been investigated but it wasn't. Could he have known? Sure. Did he know? There is no evidence it. Change the word choice and I'm fine. I'm a bit skeptical of that myself. I think that was just an excuse they came up with. I honestly think they protested simply because Schiano was a coach that didn't excite them at all.

It started because one idiot was upset because it wasn't a flashy hire and looked up Schiano and saw that he was mentioned one time in the Penn State stuff on a double hearsay basis and loudly proclaimed that Greg Schiano covered up child rape. Others were also dissatisfied with the hire and instead of verifying the info for their self they ran with the Penn State stuff and it blew up to where we are today.

Why would he downgrade? The only reason there’s even chatter with that is because the A&M AD and Jimbo we’re together at LSU. He’s got it made in Tallahassee. :idunno:
