Hoping for a nice easy no injury lots of backups playing running clock W. That's not to much to ask for is it?

Don’t think so. The Bulldogs are very down this year.

Ashland hopefully after a week off is healed up and ready to roll.

How is Ashlands pass defense? Holmes seems to throw the ball a bunch this year.

Their run D is much better then the pass D but usually get good pressure on the QB. They just don't play enough good pass oriented teams most years.

Holmes will throw deep when time allows, Holmes is just so small but will play hard the entire game. They tend to wear down on defense, not a lot of numbers, on offense they can be dangerous, they put up 49 against Holy Cross and 48 against Newport last night, they just don't have the size or depth to play with Ashland, but they have some nice players with some speed.

Those big numbers came against 2A teams that were 0-10 and 2-8(both wins versus 0-10 teams). They are facing a different critter here, only real question is when the running clock starts.

I think this one will be closer then expected , Holmes will be fired up and ready to play But In the 2nd half the tomcats will pull away

I think Ashland has too many weapons on offense and are too disciplined on defense to fall prey to an upset. Give me the Tomcats by about five scores.
