I can't see this one being close at all unless the Bulldogs make a run in the second half when Ashland rests the starters. I'm not trying to discredit Holmes at all so I hope no one takes my comment that way, but Ashland's defense is as good as I have seen in many, many years. Then there is the offense, any 4A team that doesn't have a really solid defense with plenty of depth will struggle to slow Ashlands offense down. We play the games for a reason though, anything could happen!

No discredit taken from this Bulldog fan, I understand Ashland is pretty solid, Holmes has a couple of pretty good line backers, front line is small compared to a lot of 4a teams, they just don't have much depth and tend to wear down, but they will play very hard, Holmes qb is pretty good but he needs time for the play to develope, just hope they can keep it close for a while, hope the rain holds off as well.

As far as the rain goes, at the moment it looks to be ending early in the evening in Ashland. I'm sure that timeline will change ten times over the next couple of days though.

I am picking Ashland as well as will be rooting for the Tomcats. Ashland should win but those NKY teams can be and are usually tough in the playoffs.
