Now, dejavu, you know that your question does not meet the "level playing field" test. Ashland "filled" its applicable schedules before it could set up any games with Rose Hill. That includes, varsity boys, varsity girls, freshmen, middle school, and all the elementary schools. I guess it was necessitated by financial considerations.

Rickyp, Fastbreak wasn't referring to Henry Kissenger. He was referring to Orville Kissenger who is serving 10 to 20 years at Eddyville for indecent exposure while robbing a gas station.

We will probably play sometime during the district tournament. Matt Thomas and Drew McDavid are the 2 best all around athletes in this area. There is no one who excels at their level in football and basketball.

I was just arguing the comment that Russell can match up better with RH athletically.

I can see the toughness part the rest is debatable. I really don't think that playing football in the fall helps your stamina in March. Of course at my age nothing I do in the fall helps me in March. Maybe it's different when you 17.

Have seen several but not all of the players listed on this post, but for three more years the sophmores from Elliott County will continue to be strong copetitors in the 16th. The Faulkner twins have chemistry that only can come from playing together since birth. Ferguson is extemely explosive in the post and can light it up from three. The three play very very well together. With good 4 and 5 players they are very good team. I do not know who Elliott has at the 4 and 5.

Morgan County's 6'3" Katlin Haney is top 5 in the 16th region. Have seen every player hear mentioned play and Haney is well within this group.

 

Has interest from Pikeville College and Hanover...there may be others that I'm unaware of. Big, Very strong, quick, can create off the dribble and deadly shooting with plenty of range. Look for Haney to play in many guard combinations this season and use his ability to take people off the dribble, in addition Haney was 14-29 from three point range last season. He wasn't among the area leaders in % because he didn't have as many 3 point attempts as the others obviously.

 

Morgan County should have a very solid core

Haney 6'3"--Senior with full package

Ferguson 6'3"--one of team's most versatile athletes

Barnett 6'4"--defensive presence...good bloodlines with bros. Kris and Davin

Dunn 6'1"--Sophomore PG has savvy and big shot ability

Montgomery 6'1"--ATHLETE who started 16 games last season

Henderson 6'0"--Very athletic

May 5'9"--A healthy may will yield more depth at the shooting and PG position

Harris 5'7"--Excellent shooter and playmaker...will mix it up.

 

Expect another strong defensive Cougar unit.

All the boys at Elliott County are fierce competitors. Hard to argue with the Faulkners and Ferg. I don't know why Ferg even bothers to wear sneakers, work boots and a hard hat would be more appropriate for his blue collar attitude. I'd say the 4 and 5 spot go to Greene and Maynard. Greene is a load inside and Maynard can go unconscious from 25 feet out. The Knipp brothers will help too.

Nets, living in Ashland I have not had the pleasure of seeing your boys, esp. Haney play in person. I know the Mark Maynard spoke glowingly of Haney. Lord willing I will get to see them in December.

 

My questions is where do you guys keep coming up with all those athletes? West Liberty isn' a real big town.
