This has the makings of a great game, albeit a contrast of styles. As stated this is a big game for both teams in Class A - District 5 competition. Nicholas County defeated Brossart 35-25 a year ago in Carlisle.

 

While Brossart employs a mix of run and pass, 11 of Nicholas County's 14 goals have come on the ground, carried in by either Kody Campbell (5) or Issac Fryman (6).

Three different Blue Jackets have thrown for one touchdown apiece (Fryman, Baxter, and Herrington).

The Blue Jackets have gone for 2-Point conversions following each touchdown, and have succeeded 10 times.

 

Whereas, the Mustangs scoring is more balanced between pass and run. 4 Rushing TDs and 5 via the air. Our kicker, Bryan Duffy has hit on 4 field-goals and 4-extra points. We have also converted a trio of 2 point conversions. Tyler MacDonald is 53/106yds in the air, with 5 TDs and 3 interceptions, for 228 yards per game. Nathan Bezold, Bradley Moore, Jack Howard, and Tyler MacDonald are our primary run threats.

Should be a good one. Home field seems to matter in this match-up so maybe the edge to Brossart. Common opponent Bellevue suggests this one could come down to the kicking game.

Seen both play against Bellevue, I'll give Brossart the edge at home if they feed Bezold, by a score. 21-14.
