September 30, 200620 yr Final..  That game last week sent Mich St spiraling downward. I am glad Mich gets them next week.
September 30, 200620 yr Same story, different year for the Spartans. Is John L's future in East Lansing coming to a close?
September 30, 200620 yr So, how about that win by the Irish last week? I bet Charlie Weis has no love for Johnelle, but would have rather the Spartans were able to beat THE ABSOLUTE WORST TEAM IN BIG TIME FOOTBALL.
September 30, 200620 yr So, how about that win by the Irish last week? I bet Charlie Weis has no love for Johnelle, but would have rather the Spartans were able to beat THE ABSOLUTE WORST TEAM IN BIG TIME FOOTBALL. When I saw this score scrolling the bottom of ESPN, I thought to myself, "crap, what will I say on BGP now?" MSU got beat today, by a pretty mediocre team. They did not look the same at all, but man are they a rollercoaster.
September 30, 200620 yr Michigan State just like last year now seem to just let their season go down the drain. Last year after they beat Notre Dame they still were playing good and was really taking it to Ohio State and then that whole crazy thing at half happened, and they went on to lose that game and their season went down hill from there. So now for the second year in a row it looks like MSU will let their season go down the drain after a tough emotional loss last week to ND....
September 30, 200620 yr So much for counting that as a quality win for the Irish.....Illinois is one team that could give Mississippi State a run for their money for worst team in football.

September 30, 200620 yr John L. may have a moving van backed up in his driveway before daylight! MSU just lost to a lousy football team. MSU has that team up north and The Ohio State University in the next two games - 2 more losses and imo Joh L. deserves it! He is a class A jerk and a lousy football coach. (next time I'll say what I really feel  ).
October 1, 200620 yr You all don't realize the Irish don't need any of their wins to be "quality", if they end up 10-2, they are in the BCS bet on it.
October 1, 200620 yr Has everyone seen the interview with John L. slapping himself? I've seen it three times now... It's classic!

Sure it would be in Notre Dame's best interest for Sparty to win, but you can only control your own destiny, and as RP stated all Notre Dame has to do is beat everyone left on the schedule with the exception of Southern Cal and they will be in a BCS game. Beat USC and who knows how it might shake out. In that same line of thinking, UL fans had a big party after beating Miami. But after what happened in the Orange Bowl this evening, does that still look like such a statement game for the program. There is no way that a C-USA school should be able to come into the Orange Bowl and compete. Miami may be lucky to finish up at .500.
October 1, 200620 yr Has everyone seen the interview with John L. slapping himself? I've seen it three times now... It's classic! Johnelle gets slapped Obviously they lost this week because the head coach is still having nightmares about Weis and the Irish. I bet UL fans are thankful every day that they no longer have him on the sidelines. He did elevate the program but man is he a horse's rear.
