I too was amazed at how well the logistics for this event were, very well planned and organized.......Kudos to those in charge.

It is usually pretty good every year.

One of the better festivals in the area, but way to many people in a little area.

First time it has been that crowded.

I'm still having a hard time believing there was almost 18k people there. Was it a full house? Yes. But I was within 20 feet of the stage, with plenty of room, and had no problems getting food or drinks during the concert. The only time it really felt crowded was when I went to the bathroom when they started playing the cover songs. Also, since they don't sell tickets or have any way to count folks as they come in, I'm not sure how they even can come up with an estimate.

That's the first thing I thought of, unless they used the drones to count heads. I attended St. Cecilia for my grade school years, I'm not sure if that area is large enough to contain 17,900 people.

That sounds better than Riverbend. That attendance would be a sold out show for them and a traffic nightmare. Unbelievable how an event like this can seemingly run so smoothly on a Holiday weekend in little Independence,Ky. and in Ohio they can't get traffic flowing for a Tuesday middle of the month concert

That's because there wasn't 17,000 in attendance like mentioned. No doubt it was a fantastic show and a big crowd but they can't hold that many people. Seen the Crue and VH( not together ) at Riverbend and crowds maybe at 18. St Cecilia isn't holding that. All day crowd is more likely

Probably 17,000 for the day.

They keep attendance like the Reds do. Some days they announce the attendance and it must have included people that drove by the stadium that day.

I went to that festival last year, you couldn't fit a fraction of that amount of people in there if you tried.

Just told my stats class that I had intended to go see Night Ranger in concert over Labor Day weekend but wasn't able to make it. To a person, the response was "Who is Night Ranger" ? Not a single student had ever heard of them. Justin Bieber, yes ; Night ranger, No. I'm too young to feel this damn old. Thanks kids!!!

Play Sister Christian or Don't Tell Me You Love Me.......guarantee they've heard them.

Agree...

Night Ranger is one of those bands whose "songs" are far more popular than the band's name or members will ever be...

Kelly Keagy could be standing in line at a donut shop with "sister christian" playing on the store's speakers... 99% of the people there wouldn't recognize him...

I'd venture there were maybe 5k there. That place can't come anywhere close to 18k people. Not even half that.
