I don't think Trinity has much of a chance of being ranked #1 in the country. Maybe they'll be in the top 10.

I don't think they started the season high enough, that is one of the problems with the national rankings for HS. If you didn't start high enough you have little to no chance of being at or near #1.

I would say Moore won Mr. Football today.

Rocks will gain ground in the national rankings. I help in that.

Phenomenal high school football game played today. Glad to see my Shamrocks get the W and move to 3-0, but Big Moe is a class act program with excellent fans.

Onto H!

Trinity IMO needs to develop a better rushing game in order to be considered a top notch team. They hardly ran the ball at all the second half today. One thing though is becoming apparent: Count them out at your own peril.

I was impressed when Trinity QB Bohn came out on the field to encourage and congratulate the defense for holding the lead. This young man has grown each week at the quarterback position. He did throw his only interception of the season. He overcame it and played the next play" not allowing the miscue to affect his focus.

I think they should've been ranked higher in the pre season too. I agree that a big reason that they won't be ranked number 1 is they didn't start high enough but I also don't think they're the best team. Probably top 10 though.

Did Moeller try to triple cover Moore?

Did Moeller try to triple cover Moore?

No and three Moeller defensive backs were lanky and quick and their fourth was super quick. However, Moeller made the error of covering Moore with a linebacker when he lined up at running back. That proved costly for Moeller more than once.

From BGP game thread:

Rondale Moore finished with 22 catches for 304 yards and 3 TDs

Nick Bohn 39-48 490 yards 4TDs 1 int

I will post more complete stats when available.

Trinity's statkeeper was NOT there today (first game he has missed in 25 years, from what I've heard).

Here's a link to Moeller's stats, which has EVERYTHING from both teams:

Rocks 4-4 in the red zone.

I know he was not a happy camper about it.

Also impressive: Lack of Penalties: Trinity 2 for 10 yards and Moeller 2 for 19 yards! The Moeller coach made a point of seeking out the officials and shaking some hands and appeared to be complimentary of their efforts.

Awesome job, love The rocks.

Any chance they can win national championship
