Is it really his fault if he had a roster given to him with a typo?

Not biting.

Just saying if he was given a roster with a typo and no one attempted to correct him, then some of y'all are just looking for a reason to be slighted. It's kinda petty/pathetic to be on here insulting the man for things beyond his control.

A couple of my friends in Mayfield thought last year's team was the best one in recent memory. If this one is BETTER, that's scary. 2A is going to be fun to watch this season.

Any football fan with half a brain knew after the Union City game that wasn't a good measuring stick. They were overrated and way more vanilla than any team mayfield will face in the later rounds of the playoffs.

As far as competition left on the schedule....McCracken and Graves are long shots but always get up for Mayfield. If Caldwell can get their offense in gear they will give Mayfield all they can handle, and I think Corbin beats Mayfield (The only advantage MF has in that matchup is less travel time). To say they won't see a tough game before later in the playoffs is silly. You are out of your element, Donny...

Wrong. The player was introduced before the game with his name said correctly by the PA announcer.

Why would an away player be introduced? If it was the starting lineup, is it possible he was given 2 separate papers, one with the lineup and one with full roster? Some of you all are insufferable. All tore up cause a guy had a roster with a typo and no one bothered to correct him. Bashing a volunteer over a typo. Rediculous.

Only history after its over will be able to answer that. Last year we were not as good up front as we are this year but last year we had the schools all time leading rusher and passer and this year we have new young, but very talented guys in those 2 skill positions. I like the receivers more this year. A quick look at the stats so far and you see almost equal distribution to a group of receivers and all are very talented. Same with the backs, it is being shared by a couple backs that are all pretty good. So far I have been shocked at how well the new comers have stepped up and preformed. A 2 QB system has seen both thrive and both bring something different to the table and that is very dangerous for opponents. The defense is mostly better.

Are we paper cards? We look like the real deal on paper for sure. BadaBing makes some good points! The Union City team we played was preseason #1 in TN 2A but TN 2A is not as good this year or most years as KY 2A largely because they don't allow private schools in that class. Hoptown was highly touted as well but lost their 2 premier players and clearly have not turned out to be what they were projected to be. PT was solid but nowhere near a state title caliber opponent. Bottom line is that MF is clearly a very good team but it remains to be seen if this is a state title caliber team because I don't think we have had the chance to play a team of that caliber to see where we stack up. Corbin is the only team left that appears to fit that bill so that should be the game that tells us if MF is a threat to win a state title and even if we are it will take a team that is good and lucky to win out for whoever wins it because there are so many legit teams in 2A this year. That said, most of it not all the other top 2A contenders are in a similar boat. Take Danville, the Alcoa, TN. win sounds a lot better than it likely really is. Alcoa is not the same level team this year it has been in the past. No don't get me wrong, they are still a really good team but no giant slayer this year. Anyway that is my arm chair QB thoughts on this for now until we get more data. Oh I do think MF has improved each week so far and I am excited about the possibility of that to continue.

See, you weren't there. The player was introduced before the game as some sort of military thing they were doing before the game. PT had a player, Mayfield had a player. Maybe he had a typo, I don't know but I do know he said the players name correctly before the game.

I know enough to know that a high school announcer isn't intentionally mispronouncing a kids name. And that some grown men crying about a typo is just not a good look.

"The wolf does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep".....

Like mom once told me... You can't outwit a nitwit.

Too bad she didn't teach you "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"...

Once again, it's a bad look to be insulting a man doing a service for the community based on a typo on a roster that was probably given to him by that players school.

"The wolf does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep".....

Baaaaaaaaahhhhhh :lol2:.
