JC Alumni 76 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Final. Eagles escape Lexington with a tough win. JC special teams were an absolute killer tonight.
JC Alumni 76 Posted September 1, 2017 Author Posted September 1, 2017 Did Jackson play? No. I haven't heard any solid details but it sounds like he may be out for the next few weeks.
Jack of all Trades Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 So how does this score show for Ryle?
Fear the Nation Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 So how does this score show for Ryle? You'll get your answer next week. See ya then.
Tony Cavalier Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Lots of inexperienced young guys on defense right now that will get better with more reps. The main thing that I can take away from tonight is that when this youthful JC team fell behind they didn't get rattled and fought hard to the end. After the practice routine was disrupted, a long bus drive and missing your stud RB as well as another playing with a fractured hand I'll take a win any way possible. With an extra day to rest hopefully we can heal up before another physical game in Charleston, WV next week.

Voice of Reason Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 So how does this score show for Ryle? It makes Ryle look better, Henry Clay look better, Covington Catholic looks even more impressive, Johnson Central somewhat neutral impact.
Jack of all Trades Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 You'll get your answer next week. See ya then. Glad to see that nothing changes. You won't see me dude unless you come down to Union in two weeks.

I honestly would have thought that Johnson Central would have lost this game as I thought they lost quite a bit from last year or am I mistaken on that?
ATLCat Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 I honestly would have thought that Johnson Central would have lost this game as I thought they lost quite a bit from last year or am I mistaken on that? Mistaken They lost a couple nice pieces but returned a good bit

The big winner last night was the rest of Class 4A This proves JC has taken a step back currently from where they ended 2016, doesn't mean they won't be that good come November, but does mean that they aren't the untouchable #1 team. JC is still the top dog... but they have some work to do now to improve on D.
Fear the Nation Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Glad to see that nothing changes. You won't see me dude unless you come down to Union in two weeks. Ill be there too although I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like the outcome of that game. Union got blown off the field against the Fire. Still going to support my kids team.
newarkcatholicfan Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Sounds like a solid win for J.C. being they had to overcome all that they did.
