A timeline of Vontaze Burfict's dirty play

If Burfict played for the Steelers he'd be the most hated man on this forum. :lol2:

He'd be a first ballot hall of famer if he played in the 70's and 80's...

Kid has a motor...

No question about it. A man out of his time.

Word. But there's still a decent amount of Bengal fan animosity over him blowing the playoff game.

When Lawrence Taylor sacked Joe Theismann on national television and shattered his lower leg, he jumped up, grabbed his helmet and waved for the medical staff immediately. This clown celebrates injuring someone and has shown a consistent intent to try and do so to many others. I like the Bengals a little less as long as he's on the roster.

He'd be just one of many hated Steelers... lol

Why have him on your team if he cant be trusted not to be calm in situations when its needed? When you rely on him being available week to week because he is to selfish to play by the same rules most everyone else does? He may be a fine human off the field (he hasnt gotten in trouble as far as I know), but on the field he is a piece of garbage who is unreliable.

I'd rather have him available for the Bengals for 50% of the season than him being available for another team...

He's by far the best defensive player on this team... it's not even close.

He's not PAC Man... he's not being suspended for entire seasons (yet)... if it gets to that point, then I'd agree to move on.

Agreed! As much as it sucks when this happens. He is the best overall linebacker the Bengals have ever had. He is a top 5 linebacker in the NFL when he is on the field and healthy. The defense is better when he plays. So unless they can find someone who can bring to this defense what he brings, then its worth keeping him imo.

Not to mention the one good thing about this is. It should help keep his contract extension down some in terms of money, because of the suspensions. It should help the Bengals keep him for a little bit cheaper. If it wasn't for the suspensions, he would have had to be paid as possibly the top backer in the NFL. So that is the one good thing about it.

I can't disagree there. With all these problems, he is so dang good though. So only the team he played for usually would like him. Shoot if he somehow ended up in Pittsburgh and helped made that Pittsburgh great again with his intensity. Even you Steeler fans would learn to love him as long as he was playing for you all. When he plays he makes defenses better. As an opposing fan though, he would be hated.

I would take more than just a flyer on him. He just needs leadership, and I can think of a few guys from the past who could teach him a thing or two. Harrison would teach him how to channel it.

Thought this deserved its own thread. Goes all the way back to HS. He's a man out of his time.

A complete history of Vontaze Burfict being the most reckless football player - SBNation.com

I was watching the clips and saw all up to the ASU one where the flag was

picked up. Sorry but just don't see it as bad as you do. You have to go back to HS to find one play where he was diving at the qb? Really and one play in college?

If you're going to have video of the history of cheap shots, then show one. I was

expecting Mike Mitchell type of dirty plays. I was dissapointed.

You're operating under some wild assumption that the plays referenced in the article were the ONLY times he's ever done something dirty. The HS example is probably just one of many, and it is noted because of the fact that he and Barkley are now both in the NFL.

And spare me the homer tit-for-tat. Like I'm going to defend Mitchell the way you are with your guy. False equivalency. Burfict is a dirty player. Just own it.

Please show me where he's celebrating. Would love to see it. Would love to see where he stands above someone and celebrates injuring them.

You do realize that LT admitted he played the game high on cocaine, correct?
