The dive over right tackle killed Ryle. Hats off to the RT and the TE. It worked all night.

Up like that though, you want to use the clock. I can't fault him.

It was an interesting strategy to say the least. They were down 18 with about 9 minutes left and ran almost every down eating up clock. They did eventually score after throwing a long pass to Morgan but time was short.

This was my first time watching Ryle since the CCH scrimmage. They're one-dimensional which is going to be (and was tonight) a problem. Their passing game (not just the qb - everyone ) was not good even before they were down.

I've heard rumblings beforethis game that the OC ran the ball too much. Tonight seemed to prove that to me. Terrible play calling IMO.

No,no. I'm not talking about at the end of the game. I'm simply saying that this qb throws a very nice ball and as we saw on the long drive to end the 1st half, the kid can move the chains.

He has one of the most effortless throws you'll see. Boone can be big trouble if they mix up their offense. It will make Farris that much tougher.

Remaining schedules for Ryle, Dixie, and Boone.

Dixie

Oct 6, @ Boone County

Oct 13, Holmes @ Dixie

Oct 20, @Campbell County

Oct 27, @Ryle

Boone

Oct 6, Dixie Heights@ Boone

Oct 13, @ Campbell County

Oct 20, Holmes @ Boone

Oct 27, @Conner

Ryle

Oct 6, Conner @ Ryle

Oct 13, @Simon Kenton

Oct 20, Scott @ Ryle

Oct 27, Dixie Heights @ Ryle

Ryle looks to have the easiest schedule left with 3 games at home while Dixie has the toughest with 3 on the road.

Are you saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?

Are you sure he's calling plays?

But let's not forget Ryle was missing the QB at the start of the season, and then moved the WR Morgan? to QB where he get dinged and then went with the QB Hotzapel? who really was there just to hand off and not turn the ball over.

So its not like they have had a lot of time to work out the kinks in the passing game and get everything clicking.

One could argue that they could have been working on the passing game in non-district games but I think winning non-district football games is important and if that means not throwing any passes so be it.

Plus the field conditions made it tough to pass if you haven't been working on it. Where's that S. Alexander turf?

WOW.

Good job by Boone. At least we have an opportunity for redemption. All is not lost except for this one game. It did not look like Ryles' QB is comfortable yet back at QB. He did throw some nice balls and some bad balls. Ryle does need to be less predictable on offense and they will be just fine. They did not play with the same aggression that they have displayed in the 5 other games. One of them nights and a great comeback effort. The Raiders will be OK. Better to have a midseason bad game than an end of season disaster.

Good post, I totally agree.:thumb:

People will start to write off the Raiders but they will bounce back. Hats off to Boone on this night and give them all the credit.

Heard on the radio on the way home that Farris had about 150 yards and 3 TDs.

ICN6, who broadcast the game live, said that Farris carried 41 times for 130 someodd yards. Considering he had 60-70 yards on the game clinching drive, the Raiders must have held him in check for most of the game. Hard to do! Ryle D did their job on long drives.

Corey got about 70 yards on the backbreaker when the score was 27-22 Boone. You are correct. He was held in check the rest of the night.
