BrosefStalin Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Nice game by Beechwood. Sloppy, but nice. The Derry boy...are you serious? Runs over people like Csonka/Harris. Not sure I've seen a sophomore running back in NKY run as hard as he does. He'll be fun to watch. Gotta admire the Lloyd kids and coaching staff for not giving up. Would have been really easy for all of them to quit down 28-0. Fann, Mason and Dawson are fun to watch. Unfortunately, they just don't have the depth of talent that the Tigers do. Fun night of football!!!!
nees1212 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 If Lloyd would've stuck with the running game early, the score would've been closer.
katbird Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 The Tigers couldn't stop the qb read all game.. If Lloyd would of run it more in the first half it could of been interesting. I'm sure Noel will get that fixed this week. Also please get the ball to Castleman more..
Voice of Reason Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I don't have the stats, but Lloyd probably outgained Beechwood in yardage. Lloyd has a solid team. Game scoring log will follow shortly.
BWTigers Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Not a super impressive game for Beechwood but a good start to the season. Josh and Adam Derry are both beasts!!!!!! I am super excited to travel to Somerset next week and watch the improvements that Coach Rash has for these boys. Fight 'em Tigers!!!! Keep on truckin!!!!!!
frankdracman23 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Once again I would take Beechwood in 1A against all the others. Lloyd is not a pushover and Beechwood is only going to get better as the year goes on.
Voice of Reason Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Very nice opening win for Beechwood. The Tigers will be better next week. Playing a good opponent like Lloyd helps you learn about your own team.

Voice of Reason Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Beechwood defensive backs had four interceptions. Logan Castleman had 2, Jake Massie and Daniel Mescher.
CountTurf Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 The Tigers looked sloppy... but they have more talent than last year and that showed tonight. A lot of rust that showed early probably from not having a second scrimmage this year. Somerset's size next week will help the Tigers prepare for the big dogs of Corbin as they come to town in two weeks. Noel will make some changes and correct some mistakes as he always does. Tigers are going to be a load to handle once the kinks are worked out. Good win! And by the way, how many Full Back run plays did BW run tonight??? That was awesome! Reminded me of the 90's! Josh Derry is going to be a beast for these next 3 years!
