Just got back from the state fair. Hadn't been in years, it was fun.

Sitting at my bar in the garage watching old Trinity games via YouTube on the big screen. Sellersburg Celebrates is going on at the park next door. I have to work the Scout booth after the Rocks game is over.

Plenty to choose from, priced like you would expect at the fair. Settled for sandwiches from the Kentucky Pork Producers. The better half and I split 2 sandwiches (boneless chop, country ham), an order of fries and a bottled water. $21.50.

 

The tickets were free, the ride was free (local Homemakers group). I would have spent that much just on gas; not to mention the tickets.

 

Stayed about four hours. Watched the border collie demonstration and a magic act, listened to some music (pretty good), spent time at the quilts, the 4H section, and filled out lots of drawing entries at the various county booths.

 

Most inefficient thing I did - picked up a tote bag at the Mason County booth. Seems like a long way to go for that.

Once smart phones were invented instilled reading magazines in the bathroom and play on my phone. Soon I am running all around NKY selling fundraiser cards for my daughter's select softball team. No football for me tonight.

Gluten free diet since I have celiac disease.
