It's a lot easier to remember that SK is 2-0 vs same in the last decade. I have a hard time remembering games that are older than I am.

I would put Beechwood and Highlands over Ryle. NewCath over Conner and Cooper.

 

Just wondering, but what are you basing this off of? NCC got trounced in a scrimmage against Cov Cath, (which a lot of teams would so not necessarily a terrible thing) and barely beat a Scott team that is not exactly a power house. They may be better than Cooper and Conner, and will have their chance to prove it this Friday and in a couple weeks. But to say they are better with no reasoning, I don't get...

Man, I think SK should just stop scheduling anyone other than their district opponents and the district trinity is in! Before this year its always too soft they dont play 6A opponents They schedule the likes of CAL why is this team so they go and fill it with 6A schools and beechwood (which idk if SK gets anything outta that game) But im sure beechwood will. but now its they scheduled soft 6A schools..... I believe Beechwood and SK have met twice in the last decade and it is even at 1-1. BW's margin of victory was much greater than Sk's so should BW be ranked higher right now than SK? Just deploying fuzzy logic here.

Can some give their opinion on why SK doesn't schedule Cov Cath more often ?? Would be a great game. I'd go to it.

You must have miss understood what I was saying. I believe Old records mean nothing for this year. Just pointing out that what happened way back when, means zippo. Last year or two may have a little relevance bc some of the same players. Is it still fuzzy logic?

I totally agree with you on old records. Rankings are for website fodder. When some of these teams play each other the debate will take care itself. I was trying to have a little fun by poking the bear.

Beechwood is 3-1 versus Simon Kenton since 2000. Simon Kenton's only win was a 21-17 victory at Simon Kenton. Simon Kenton scored late to take the lead then Beechwood fumbled the ball at about the 25 yard line with a couple minutes to go as they were driving for the winning score.

That was a tough loss, especially with probably the best player on either side, Max Nussbaum, still sidelined with an injury.

True. One thing I recall about that game was when the captains met before the game. Simon Kenton's captains dwarfed our captains. It didn't look right they were so much bigger. Someone from Simon Kenton had a kickoff return TD in the second half. That was the big play in the game that got Simon Kenton the win.
