Trinity wasn't that impressive. They made plays but nothing really stood out. The QB can throw deep.

I was speaking hypothetically but if it's 95% or 99% does it really matter? It's clear there is no one in NKY on that level yet but since you asked I would assume the usual suspects would be pretty close (not saying beat) to the Rocks.

Again I'm not disrespecting any team but if Trinity was not the "dominant" team of norm that some have indicated and they still win 52-0...well nuf said.

Not knowing what teams have lost I would suspect: Male, SC, Lafayette, BG, St. X etc. could keep things interesting.

Yes that was the year. Last night was also Trinity's first visit to Ryle since 2010, one of the coldest games I remember attending. Trinity won 28-9 and earned a trip to the championship game.

Sorry we missed the party....shamrockchamp and I were in attendance as well....My take on the scrimmage was that T has some work to do in the running game and Ryle needs work on passing and pass defence.....The big thing is no-one got injured and now the teams can watch film and improve

It is more like 1% on a good day.

While Trinity never suprises me, that's an amazing point differential.

 

Ryle is one of the better teams in NKY and they will have a great season.

 

Trinity's deep rooted program is just too much for most teams!

 

It is but the score was 21 to 0 right before the half (and before two quick Rock TDs, one of which never happens in the regular season).

 

Once the 2nd half started it was a different game and as my Uncle Ted would say, Ryle didn't have enough nickles in their pocket.

 

I will say it again, the score is misleading.

 

For anyone on Ryle's schedule smiling I would caution you. If your team can't pass or your team can't stop a pretty good running attack you are not going to beat Ryle.

I know it's only a scrimmage but ouch. I thought with Chisholm, Ryle would at least get on the board

 

Chisholm looked really good to me but you can only make so many guys miss and take so many hard hits. And it wasn't just running the ball, one play Chisholm took a really hard hit in pass protection.

Agree, Ryle is one of the best venues to watch a high school football game.

I keep trying to tell my CovCath friends that Ryle is a solid team. If the scrimmage opponents were reversed for Ryle and CovCath, I think the scores would have been about the same.

Let me repeat myself.

 

I didn't see the game but talking with a Ryle parent of a freshman. Trinity scored almost every time they had the ball. Ryle scored once at the very end of the scrimmage. It was tough going for the young Raiders but they kept working hard.
