I would think a midnight practice on a Monday would be hard for the community to come out and support. I don't have an issue with it. If it gets a good crowd and the community excited great. I wonder how many people come other than the parents of the players.

We went at 6 am this morning. Does that count? Still dark.

If 1 practice is going to decide your season then your pretty bad.

If the kids want to practice at midnight and have fun staying up all night then good for them and coaches who let them. It's about having fun and memories. This ain't college or the NFL and those who think it's dumb, well there are those who don't think the same as you.

With all due respect it just sounds like a silly gimmick to me. Trinity will have their first full pads practice Tuesday morning and actually get something out of it.

 

Good for Trinity. I'm sure that one practice will make their season. I'm sure all those Trinity players are in bed before 12am and getting prepared for that 1 practice that will determine their season.

Football can be a grind, especially in the summer during the early parts of camp. Guys are usually ready to get into the contact portion, and a midnight madness practice sounds like a fun way to break the grind, and take advantage of that excitement. Certainly, not all teams can or should do it. If it works for you, then by all means, have at it.

No different than the midnight madness basketball teams do that people love. I see nothing wrong with it, and for those teams that make it a big event it seems like a good way to get some excitement going and rally the community around the team. What's the harm??

I think some give them the next day off to refresh and not get burned out
