Oh yeah, that is why we were in that district and made them have a hay day while our program was down.

Every program goes into flux. The Boyle and Lincoln rivalry was a great one back to the late 70's. If you go back and see, by 1988 Boyle's program had dropped severely while Lincoln was heading to their greatest heights. When Chuck Smith arrived he saw an AA program trying to be built (Boyle) and a AAA program (Lincoln) at their peak. It made sense for him to find other teams to play at that time. When the two finally were back on the gridiron together it was the Lincoln program that was down and the Rebel program at their peak.

No one at Boyle inferred ill will at Harrodsburg when they dropped Boyle in the early 00's so I don't know why you should feel so personal about Boyle's scheduling.

how about Boyle stepping up and playing Lincoln next year instead of dropping out of the contract like they did in the early 90's...... :fight:

Wow! Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Are you just a tad jealous of our 5 Straight State Championships? Now that everydody wants a piece of Boyle, take a ticket and stand in line.

Not Jealous at all, because no matter how many you won in a row, there are still programs with more titles than Boyle.

I am not here to talk trash about anything but as we all should know, every program has there peek years and everyone has not so great seasons.

Boyle may be down this year, but as Danville was "down" in 1999- I think their record was 7-6 and made the regional title game. The next year the went on to win the state championship followed by another in 2001.

Oh, I remember how many times Boyle fans wanted to be just like Danville, and now they are having success, you think you're just the greatest, and until you're not at the top, I got to give props where props are due.

Good luck to each time in this area - Wish you all the best and remember its for the kids to be successful and us as fans to support them first and help out the program in anyway we can. :thumb:

I hate to tell you this but Rebel and I probably thought we were the greatest from about 1977 through 1982 so it's not something new. :D

BTW, I don't know of any Boyle fan that wanted to be just like Danville. We might have craved a similar success that we saw Danville have from about 1984 to 1994 but we never wanted to be like "them." :thumb:

(Except for Admiral. All of us wanted to be as fast as Admiral. :D )

I have seen Mercer, Danville, and Boyle play. Mercer seems to be better than Danville, and I am sure Lincoln has a better coaching staff than Boyle so Lincoln gets the 3 spot before Boyle. Boyle may not make the playoffs this year. Seriously, they look worse every week. I'd love to see a Mercer-Danville game this year, but it won't happen. I have to give the edge to Mercer as #1 at this point.
