July 1, 20179 yr I know he was traded but it is Paul George, he has input. Make playoffs and bounced in first round. Just like Indy. Once he said he was gone after next year I don't think the Pacers gave him any input. Why would they?
July 1, 20179 yr I know he was traded but it is Paul George, he has input. Make playoffs and bounced in first round. Just like Indy. You really think they took his input? He told them he was leaving after this year. Why would they need his input. At this point they aren't going to care what's best for him or what he wants. They are going to care what's best for them at this point. Especially when George basically killed them by waiting for so long before he said he wouldn't sign back. They most likely would have made a trade way before the draft got close.
July 1, 20179 yr It is a players league. Players have all the power. Not when that player makes it clear they are leaving. Then that player doesn't have the power. If so George would be with the Cavs now with a chance for a title, or got his wish to be a Laker.
July 1, 20179 yr It is a players league. Players have all the power. He had no control literally zero. Now Carmelo has all the power because of a No Trade Policy in his contract.
July 2, 20179 yr I know he was traded but it is Paul George, he has input. Make playoffs and bounced in first round. Just like Indy. He has no input. He wants to go the Lakers and has made it clear he wants to go to the Lakers. The Lakers offered a better offer than OKC did but Indy took the OKC offer.
July 2, 20179 yr Will this deal make OKC any better than a 2nd round exit in the Western Conference playoffs? I don't think it will.
July 2, 20179 yr Indy apparently even circled backed to the Celtics before accepting the trade. Someone tweeted there was basically no way they were giving him to the Cavs.
July 2, 20179 yr Will this deal make OKC any better than a 2nd round exit in the Western Conference playoffs? I don't think it will. Probably not, but it makes it a lot more fun. Showing Westbrook they will do what it takes to stay relevant with free agency looming.
July 2, 20179 yr Probably not, but it makes it a lot more fun. Showing Westbrook they will do what it takes to stay relevant with free agency looming. OKC fans just gonna be mad again when he leaves 12 months from now. :lol2:
July 2, 20179 yr OKC fans just gonna be mad again when he leaves 12 months from now. :lol2: Gonna be real mad when they both leave for the Lakers? :lol2:
July 2, 20179 yr Gonna be real mad when they both leave for the Lakers? :lol2: Man... They would be extra salty.
July 2, 20179 yr Will this deal make OKC any better than a 2nd round exit in the Western Conference playoffs? I don't think it will. Probably not but only because the West is insane. I think this should have them as the 4-6th best team in the West which is pretty much where they were this year. At the same time we need to see what San Antonio does, what Utah does, what the Blazers do, Grizzlies, etc.
July 2, 20179 yr Gonna be real mad when they both leave for the Lakers? :lol2: Not gonna happen. Magic has already proven to be stupid. No way he can land them both and I'll be shocked if Russ leaves an extra 40 million on the table.
July 2, 20179 yr The Lakers offered a better offer than OKC did but Indy took the OKC offer. What did the Lakers offer? And why would Indy give him to OKC for less?
