The T-Cats will be ready to play. I look for Matt Thomas to have another outstanding game. However, I think G.C. will play solid ball control offense and try to limit Ashland's T.O.P. A-town will make the most of their offensive possesions though.

I think I speak for a lot of the Ashland faithful when I say I will never over look a team again. Our one loss thus far shows us that we are beatable, even in our save house of Putnam. That being said I dont think Ashland will over look anyone. Greenup has improved tremendously, and like their Head Coach said in the paper, they have momentum. This is a huge game for Greenup. Ashland, Johnson Central and Mason County ( Order not implying anything ) are the only teams that are looking solid in our District. If Greenup was to pull the upset Friday night that puts them right back in the hunt for things. If Ashland wins, well they were supposed to win. Its another of those frequent casseof Ashlands opponet has nothing to loss while Ashland everything. I think the Cats come out looking to send a statement to the rest of the District. Just ones humble opinion. Good luck to both teams Friday night, I pray its injury free.

I liked your old avatar - but this is good too! I agree with your wish to respect the BIG guys. I believe that they are the key to this year's team.

Let's just hope then that Ashland's kickers are on target. Maybe we need that officiating crew from the last regular season home game of last year to do this game then.

It's hard to get excited about a Greenup County game, but it is the start to district play and a big welcome back for Bonner. Is there any word if Bonner will be playing both ways?

Bonner has been playing well in practice this week. It's still questionable whether he starts at all against Greenup but he will for sure see alot of playing time. Burns has been playing well at reciever and expect the tomcats to go more 4-wide along with Thomas against Greenup. Also, Slone has filled in great at FS for Bonner so there's no rush to force him into the lineup and have him injured again.

Perhaps this match up doesn’t have any marquee value outside of our immediate area BUT how can you not get motivated for this game? It’s the start of district play, its Homecoming and we are playing against a team which is certainly capable of beating us. Although I think I understand where you are coming from with your observation about GC coming to town, I sincerely hope the Tomcats aren’t suffering from the same perspective.

Trust me the tomcats do not have the overconfident attitide that they had going into the raceland game. We know that greenup is very capable of beating us if we do not bring it! We will be ready.

It is a very good one as is mine. And I love showing the big boys some lovin'.

I know that Coach Hart has the Tomcats prepared for this one following the bye week. Greenup will give them a run for their money but Ashland will prove to be too strong for them. Another reason I think that the Tomcats will come out with a W is that they will not over look another opponent after that Raceland game.

Ashland 25 Greenup 22. Oh wait a min. that is my prediction of the basketball score when they play this season.
