Probable Pitching match-ups anyone?

So, let's say you pull into a strange town and stop to ask someone for directions. More than likely, that person will describe how to get to the place you want to get to. Is that person un-civil if they do not give you a ride to your destination.

Quarter Finals

 

10am - Cooper vs St. Henry

 

1pm - Highlands vs Beechwood

 

4pm - Dixie Heights vs New Catholic

 

7pm - Covington Catholic vs Conner

I like a Highlands vs CovCath final. Birds have the pitching to get there. If the Colonels can get past Conner which I think they will they should coast into the final.

 

Highlands will need to score at least 2-3 runs per game in this tournament or they are in trouble.

I'm not big on long responses while on my phone so I gave you the road map to figuring it out. Thought it was a pretty easy map to follow. No ill will intended.

I am guessing that Cooper will throw Reid on Monday and Phillips/Ollier on Tuesday if they win. Again, totally speculation at this point but if I was a guessing man that would be it for me. Reid throws 75 pitches Monday so he could go again Thursday if they are fortunate enough to get there

Being able to send more than one "shutdown" pitcher to the bump usually wins this regional. Highlands has proven this recently and is poised to do this again. To beat Highlands you will have to manufacture some runs and that might be enough......if you can. I am a Cru fan but they have looked flat in the last couple of weeks and will need to bring it if they want to beat Cooper as Cooper has a strong pitching staff as well. Cov Cath and Beechwood have strong line-ups offensively. This is one heck of a regional and might be worthy of spending the entire day at UC Health Stadium. In the end, I like Highlands and Cov Cath in the finals with Highlands winning a close one to repeat as champion.

Its going to be interesting who the Birds throw on Tuesday. Doty pitched earlier vs Beechwood and shut them down. Doty seems to get fired up vs Beechwood. Birds have not faced Cooper due to bad weather. Birds split with St Henry with Rom getting the win and Dreves getting the lose. St Henry is a very dangerous team. Do you go with Rom on Tuesday because Beechwood hasn't seen him or Doty because he pitches well vs Beechwood?
