People seem to forget that WW2 was not won with surgical strikes and smart bombs. This country can no longer stomach what is necessary to win a war. I don't mean battles, I mean a war.

I also think it is important to keep in mind that no matter what the course of action that is taken any action taken against ISIS will likely recruit more members to ISIS. I don't think we'll ever be able to totally rid the world of ISIS

I agree we need to attack those that are attacking us. The innocent civilians we're killing in the process haven't attacked anyone though.

Which puts America in nearly an impossible situation. Kill some innocents elsewhere in the world or let the terrorist kill innocents here at home.

I understand that as well. When you mentioned WWII and people it being prepared for what happens in war my first thought was that we had a defined enemy in WWII. This situation is far more complicated.
