For all who have said 9-11 (and I do concur) have any of you visited the 9-11 Memorial and Museum? A truly awe inspiring place. I couldn't make it through the full exhibit area, the emotions were to strong.

Where are they located? I have been back to the site since the pools at each tower site have been finished, but not to the museum.

It just opened in the last year. It's right near ground zero. I saw the project in its beginning phases before it was complete. So overwhelming.

The entrance to the museum is right next to one of the pools. The entire museum is underground in the area where the large pit was after all the debris was removed. You actually walk under the pools as there are display areas in the footprints of the towers. To get to the entrances of the display areas you cross bridges over the footers of the towers. The remnants of the piles that were driven into the bedrock are still there. It's very emotional.

Go online and buy tickets and spend the extra money for the tour. When I was there last year it was like $20.00 total. Well worth it as they explain what all the artifacts are and where they were found.

Last time I cried for a famous person was when JFK Jr died. For some reason that was so sad. I would have liked to seen him get into politics.

 

Sandy Hook because I have kids too. I have prayed everyday with my kids in the car before I drop them off since that happened.

I mis-spoke. General admission for the museum is 24.00. It's $44 with the tour.
