Lawson brothers transferring to Kansas

There seem to be questions about whether Tubby is really engaged in the program.

 

Those same questions were raised at Kentucky, Minnesota, and Texas Tech. I'm thinking they might just be true.

Tubby may have demoted him because he wanted an up tempo style to showcase the talent his kids have, which they obviously do have or else Kansas wouldnt take them.

I think that pretty much nailed it. Unfortunately, I think the closer it got to the end of the season, the farther away from Tubby these players moved...thus losing 7 of the last 8 games and the last two by 37 and 40 points respectively. I am not sure there is a team they would have beaten.

They sound like a couple of punks who unfortunately are being rewarded for being punks.

Can't remember which program I was listening to.

 

They were saying that the Memphis area AAU talent is pretty awesome, and that Tubby has no interest in being involved in any way.

 

The higher ups are pretty upset about his lack of interest is in the community.

Blame it on Tubby if you wish. However, the manner in which these kids left Memphis would be enough for some coaches to think twice about taking them. This is Kansas though. They will take anyone if they think it helps them keep their conference winning streak alive.
