PCC took the game over after only leading by 3 at Half. Pikeville's leading scorer was Byers with 8. PCC's Anosike picks up a Double-Double with 10 Points/15 Boards, Tobler had a solid game with 12 Points, 9 Boards, & 8 Assists, Hill added 12 & 4 Boards, Akenyemi added 10 & 7 Boards, and Back added 9 & 4 Assists & 3 Boards for PCC.

Congrats PCC!

Great season Pikeville!

Figured PCC would be just too big and strong for Pikeville, which turned out to be the case.

They could be a hard out with their size but their guard play could be an issue. They are an interesting team to keep an eye on.

Pikeville needed to figure out how to give around 15 of the 19 shots that Rhodes & Roberts took to Wyatt Battaile. Kid doesn't touch the ball enough. Has to create every shot he gets. Wasn't impressed with Pikeville, 15th must have been way down.

Will PCC be able to beat a quality press?

Season stats and particular this game's stats would not support your premise.

Statistics had Perry with 12 blocks but it sure seemed like more to me.

A guy from Knott told me in the Hyatt lobby that Perry had 10 blocks at halftime. I don't know where he got his figures. But I know that their size caused Pikeville all kinds of trouble.

Just thought Pikeville's little guards took too many bad shots in the tall timber. This was my first time watching Battaile, but if he is D1, like they say he is, he needs more than 12 shots per game. Jmo

I think ball handling/guard play is not Perry's strong point. A quality press will cause them problems.

Fair question. I'm not sure they would be able to handle a team that presses a lot. Tobler is going left at all times. Force him right and it could be an issue.
