Pay a lot more for everything that you buy! Eat less fresh fruits and vegetables and wait much longer for stores to restock and even much longer for online order to arrive.
March 16, 20179 yr Nothing like the daily drive across the bridge until a Semi Truck just comes on over into your lane with you still there and tries to put you in the wall and over into the river. Of course he kept right on going too. No serious damage per say, dented in the front driver panel and busted the mirror off. Had I not seen him coming over right from the get go it would have been worse. ........and you thought all those negative post about FedEx weren't going to come back to haunt you. LOL In all seriousness, glad to hear you're OK. I try to ALWAYS aviod driving besides ANY big rigs.
March 16, 20179 yr This is a few years old, but I would guess the numbers would still be valid. 80 percent of car-truck crashes caused by car drivers, ATA report says Years ago I world have put that number closer to 90% of the time it being the cars fault. Today 80% is realistic, maybe even 75%`.

Don't confuse the drivers with the service. We need the trucking service industry. We don't need the bad drivers. Hopefully, drone delivery will eliminate the bad ones soon enough. I think driver demand is so high right now they take really unqualified candidates. Reduce demand and the bad ones are first to go.
March 16, 20179 yr Most are experienced drivers, but this is my biggest beef with them. At least once a week they're side by side on the AA in Maysville at a traffic light; one "accelerating" at about an eighth of a mile per hour faster than the other once the light turns. You got some where to be, Mr. Retiree?! :lol2: Well, your Hoverround doesn't go much faster that 1/8 mile an hour anyway, does it?

I try to ALWAYS aviod driving besides ANY big rigs. Especially avoid being on the big rigs right side. Obviously, that can't be avoided completely but do everything you can to limit the amount of time you spend next to any truck.
