Just some people from pleseantville with nothing better to do than complain when they are in one of the best cities in the state. Their biggest problem is two cars running off the road on grand ave in the last 6 months.

March 7, 20179 yr Is your city the safest city in Kentucky? The National Council for Home Safety and Security ranked four Northern Kentucky cities in the top five "Safest Cities in Kentucky." Fort Thomas ranked as the safest city when comparing violent crime and property crime per 1,000 people. The National Council for Home Safety and Security is a national trade association comprised of licensed alarm installers and contractors. The group's goal is to further industry education and public knowledge about home safety and security. Independence, Highland Heights and Edgewood also made it in the top five. While the violent crime rate in Independence is still low based on population, it saw 11 violent crimes last year, compared to less than three for the other top-rated cities. To identify the safest cities in Kentucky, the council said it reviewed FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics and its own population data and internal research. Cities that did not submit a complete crime report to the FBI and cities with populations under 5,000 were removed. The remaining cities were ranked based on the number of reported violent crimes, and property crimes. The council said violent crimes were weighted for 70 percent of the total and property crimes accounting for 30 percent. Other Northern Kentucky municipalities that made it into the 50 safest cities are, Taylor Mill, Lakeside Park- Crestview Hills, Erlanger, Cold Spring, Alexandria, Elsmere, Fort Wright, Bellevue and Dayton. The National Council for Home Safety and Security defines violent crimes as aggravated assault, murder, rape and robbery and property crimes as burglary, arson, larceny-theft and motor vehicle theft.
March 7, 20179 yr There have been a ton of car break ins and multiple homes broken into in Ft thomas in past year or two. I'm willing to bet the drug problem in nky is to blame. Sad stuff.

According to Ft. Thomas' finest, they aren't really "break ins" per se. Every car that has been burglarized was unlocked and full of fun stuff to steal. Lock your cars at night, people!

Lock your cars at night, people! There was a guy arrested for Robbery and Kidnapping just yesterday up there...Keith Mitchell. Watch out for him if he gets out!
