What are the chances the media calls Beshear on his racist slang he used ?

  • Author
What did he say?

The word he probably meant to say is "renege" which is the common english word. He used the word "renig" which is just a slang of sounding out the word. But I've seen people criticized for using that word.

I know the definition of the word and I'm not offended, but I do know if someone else said it, it would be headline news .

Beshear came across kind of vanilla to me.

The fact he acted like he worked across the aisle or left office with a consensus made me laugh. The only reason he won the last term is because the GOP put an anti gambling candidate on the platform.

Or, it could be because David Williams is one of the most unlikable politicians in Ky history, with Lt. Gov. candidate that was toxic even though he was on "scholarship for life."

Additionally, several of my Police Officer Facebook Friends are blasting him over the State Pension System not being funded properly under his watch.

Beshear certainly has the talking part done.

On underfunded pensions, most of them will improve dramatically as interest rates increase. These low interest rates kill their funding formula. A 1% increase in interest rates will make many of these pensions properly funded.

As shown by the mass democrat purge in Kentucky.

I'm not going to disagree with any of that. My point was Beshear won because of a bad candidate.

I've never heard the word pronounced in any other fashion.

From Merriam-Webster:

renege

re·nege \ri-ˈneg also -ˈnāg, -ˈnig; rē-\

verb

I am a bit puzzled by your point on Beshear using the word renege. You seem to have a different understanding of the word than I do. I have never heard any racial implication with that word. It is a Latin based word. Are you saying that the word is racist?

There is the hard "A" and the hard "I" and the point was is how people attack the pronunciation of the word prior.
