Clyde
The President and others for years criticized President Obama for not using that term. New NDA HR McMaster told his staff that the term is not helpful because those terrorists ate "un-Islamic." https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/02/24/us/politics/hr-mcmaster-trump-islam.html?referer= No way Bannon and Miller are liking this cat. Jesse James
I disagree if he thinks the "radical Islamic Terrorists" are not following what the Quran says. This is about that book. These issues come down to what the Prophet Muhammad says to do and how they should conduct themselves.
Habib
The notion that if we just say "radical Islamic terrorism" the problem will go away is one of those feel good things people love to share on Facebook but ultimately makes for useless and self-defeating foreign policy. Mitch Rapp
I assume many on here disagree with the Lt Colonel, correct?I do, and I disagree with Trump bringing him on board. We may not be in a religious war against Islam, but a sizable faction of Islam is in a religious war with us.
Run To State
Saying it won't make it go away anymore than denying it made it go away. You have to recognize it and do something to make it go away. Calling ISIS the JV team was a prime example of a useless and self-defeating foreign policy. I don't think anyone has ever said just by saying it that the problem would go away. But any sensible person knows when dealing with a problem you must first be honest on recognizing what the problem is and defined to be . You can't expect to solve a problem if you can't honestly diagnosis the problem.
bballfamily
If you support the theory that calling out a group by its name is wrong, then how do you refer to a radical Islamic terrorist or a Nazi or a member of the Klan or any other hateful group? Those that are referring to the radical Islamists are making it known that they realize not all members of the faith are terrorists.
Science Friction
No doubt they are radical and terrorists, but are they really Islamic? Some of you that know more about Islam than I do can answer that. Are these radical terrorists truly following the Islamic religion. All I have ever hear from those who practice the religion is that true Islam is a religion of peace.

Mitch Rapp
There are two major strands of Islam. Shia. Sunni. And both major branches of Islam have large contingents of radical Islamists and supporters of their particular brand of terror within them.
