Wasn't there but have talked to a couple of my NKY friends that was there neither have any interest in who wins or losses this one and they say Heygi traveled threw up an underhanded prayer that went in and called a foul. Again I don't know with certainty I wasn't there. Just what's being told to me second hand.

 

I'll step up. I was one of the "NKY friends" mentioned here that said Cole may have traveled. After watching the video, I'll take back my statement. Heck of a move by him to get a shot up.

This was a hard fought game by both teams, with either team deserving the win. After watching the video, some say they aren't sure there was a foul. On the other side of the coin, no one is saying, there is NO WAY there was a foul.

Live action, I thought he was fouled from both sides as he split the defenders.

Swallowing the whistle? So at what point does an official decide he isn't going to do his job? As mentioned in an earlier post. A foul in the last 5 seconds of a game is no different than a foul in the first 5 seconds of the game.

Good play, bad play. Good call, bad call. None of it matters at this point because they all get to slug it out again. You can't blame the outcome of a game on one instance, it's the body of work for the entire game. Gee, you can woulda, coulda, shoulda every play.

So an official not blowing the whistle when it should be blown, is not a factor...... Maybe we should have the officials leave the floor at the 15 second mark in a close game so they won't be any part of it.

Once again like the last game they played and wasted time outs by Scott, did Scott have a timeout to call and set the defense and help the kids where to be and who to guard? If not so be it then, coaches fault...

 

Why make a lay-up and leave so much time left on clock 7 seconds is forever...

Why was No one on the ball out of bounds??

Then this defender then could have been at foul line to take a charge,

not let Cole drive the lane?

Why not double team Cole?? You knew the ball was going to him...

How does Campbell Co. throw the ball In to Mid court??

Why did No Scott players step up for a charge?? If your gonna foul him, foul him hard and make sure he don't make the bucket...Duh...

I am not sure you were there or not or just watching the video from twitter. Before this play even occurred there was a clock mix up and there was plenty of time to set up anything you wanted without having to call a timeout.

You obviously don't understand the concept of what I'm saying, so I'll let you believe what you want to.

It's not that I don't understand, I just disagree with you.

I saw several things that I thought were fouls that weren't called. I as well saw things called as fouls I didn't believe should have been called. It happens in most games, and it went for and against both Campbell and Scott during the game.

However, as an official, at any particular point in the game, if you see what you perceive to be a foul and don't make the call. Then you, the official, become a determining factor.

Absolutely DID NOT travel, but can't tell from that if there was a foul. Completely impartial observation.

Clock problem was nothing. They reset it and it was right. The refs were fine. And the foul at the end was a foul. But, personally I like when the ref swallows the whistle late and let's them play.

 

So you are saying the refs SHOULDN'T call a foul at the end and make the player make the shot even if he is fouled. That's an interesting concept. If that's the case, the refs should leave the floor in the last 8 seconds and what happens, happens. A ridiculous theory. A foul is a foul is a foul, whenever it happens. Too many officials DO swallow their whistles at the end because they don't want people saying they "decided" the game. They decide the game just as much when they don't make the call. The players still decide the game when they foul, not the official.

No travel and agree with the push call. Defender in bad position and pushes airborne shooter. That's a foul anytime throughout the game.
