Eric Church fighting Scalpers...cancels 25K Tickets

Eric Church cancels 25K tickets bought by scalpers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Country star Eric Church has been battling ticket scalpers for years as his popularity grew and he began selling out arenas. But he's taken his biggest step yet by cancelling more than 25,000 tickets to his spring tour that were purchased by scalpers and putting them back on sale for fans to purchase.

The "Springsteen" singer told The Associated Press he's going to do everything he can do to stop what he calls a criminal organization that's making millions.

Not a fan of his music, but I like that he's trying to do something about scalping.

I thought President Obama addressed this in his final days as POTUS. Good for Church.

Sounds to me this is more of illegal ticket purchases from fake CC and such, more than the ticket brokers like 331 seat and such.

I'm OK with scalpers buying and reselling tickets for a profit. I'm not OK with them beating the system that we all use to buy tickets. They take the risk of buying and reselling. Knew a scalper Ben G Sweet (loved the name) bought a bunch of upper levels for a Springsteen show in Lexington and got hung with them. I never sell my extra seats to scalpers on the way to a game. I always look for someone with kids or those walking up to the window.

If I bought Eric Church tickets I'd want them cancelled for sure. :D

Nightmare. Let's for a moment assume there's a hell. I'd have to listen to him for eternity as my punishment if I went.

Good for him. Eric Church is a great show live as well.

Agree took the wife to see him, I was impressed

Ticks me off the scalpers are always the first to gobble up the good seats.
