Featured Replies

Dayton ousts Bellevue in the 36th District.

They will now take on Newport Central Catholic on Wednesday night at 6:30pm on home hardwood.

Anybody have Stats?

Congrats Devils but wasn't Bellevue's best player out on crutches?

Name?

Dayton had already beaten Bellevue twice this year. They took care of business and now get a shot at NCC.

Wow. He is their workhorse.

Brett Maehren

He Played tonight, scored 20 Points for the Tigers.

Good to hear I heard he was hurt.

Anyone know the last time Dayton won a District Tournament game? Last night I heard 1957 which I find a little hard to believe.

^^^^^Not true I don't believe

KHSAA has Dayton beating Bellevue in districts in 98

Ok thanks!

Looking back through some records tonight and this game stood out for a couple of reasons:

1. This was the first district tournament game Dayton had won since toppling Bellevue in 1998.

2. This was the first district tournament win on their home floor for Dayton since beating Bellevue in 1957!

Sadly, still no regional tournament appearances for the Greendevils since 1970, the longest streak in the state.
