It's the challenge you and I and others face who do not see these kids going up against top-level AAU teams in the spring and summer. Could be a host of reasons the ONE TIME you and I see someone that he wasn't the best player on the court.

 

College coaches aren't watching him play against Ryle or Moeller or....they're seeing him in person over multiple games playing against other top-level talent. CJ had a great spring/summer in 2016. Put up big numbers against top talent.

 

I've been there where you are with a player who I don't see often yet is getting love from D1. Heck, I've been there with kids I DO see a lot. College coaches watch with different eyes and watch often.

I believe that was his first game back after sitting out two months . I would give the kid a break as I would any kid until he's a full strength and in shape

Nonetheless when is the last time a NKY kid has received an offer at this level ? What other schools does CJ have offers to ?

 

I would say James Beetle Bolten was the last NKY kid to get such big offers. Congrats to him, that is awesome!

Does anyone have his scoring average and fg percentage . Every time I look in paper kid is getting 20 on a very balanced team . I had a chance to watch him at King of the Bluegrass and he was clearly the best player there . So these offers are no surprise ! And I do believe having Ruthsatz as a coach has helped him . When coaches know his head coach coached with The legend Hurley that's credibility . Which is why I asked if Sean would be going bigger if he played for Ruthsatz Not Sully . Taking nothing away front Sully just wondering if that matters . Previous post say it's all aau .

I'll answer the question, NO. Basketballball scholarships are earned on the summer circuit and maybe reconfirmed at the high school level. My opinion is it make little difference what high school program the player is playing in. Dontai Allen of PC is a prime example as he's not drawing interest from what he's doing at PC. Not sure why this is a pressing question. Sully and Ruthsatz, have the exact same number of D1 college players signed....zero. By the end of next season Sully will have 1 signed and Ruthsatz will have 2. Failing to see the point here as both are excellent coaches. One program is well established and the other is certainly on the rise.
