I don't think who he played for matters at all. Sean was recruited by a few mid majors and he fell in love with Bellarmine and wanted to go there! Nothing wrong with that

Very curious I'm close to the Cooper Program and have a son who is one is Sean's close friends and that's not what Sean says . Sean is a great player and kid I believe and so do many others that he was very under recruited . That's all no drama !

I think you're barking up the wrong tree. I agree that Sean could be a sharp shooter for a MAC school/OVC school. Coaches watch him in the spring and summer. It's not because of Tim Sullivan.

For the most part just like in baseball the kids get recruited a lot more during the summer. Coaches will go to the big showcase events during the summer so they can see multiple kids at one time. The kids they like they will try and see during their high school season if they have a chance. Typically kids are noticed during Spring/Summer...

I think your last sentence is way off base. For someone who says they are close to the Cooper program, I do not get your comment, I could also see it as a jab at Sully... IMO, not a real good thing to be saying.

Have you seen Sean play in the summer against top level competition? I'm thinking you haven't. You can look a hell of a lot better and be able to do more against weaker high school competition. Quick trying to kick up dust where there isn't any. Sean wanted to stay closer to home and is thrilled to be going to Bellarmine.

Exactly Yellowcard....Sully loves these kids like they are his sons.

He would do anything to get these kids to the highest level that they can go. Summer is where it is at playing against top competition where you can show off your overall skill set and athleticism. Again, Sean is very excited to be going to Bellarmine and knows this is the best fit for him.

Again....Have you seen Sean play in the summer against D-1 competition. If not, you have no clue what you are talking about.

Cov Cath players were noticed in the summer for how they competed against top competition. NOT because of Ruthsatz.

Once again no one seems to be answering the question. Sean is a beast . Love his game . Best player on coopers team not even close . In my opinion he should be playing higher . And your fooling yourself with all the " he loves Bellermine " talk . He loves Bellermine because he didn't have a d1 offer. Sean can play in the mac or ovc as Clyde stated . Seems like he has been over looked and that's odd to me. I'm very clear how Sully treats the kids trust me my point is you end up where your game takes you. However kids get overlooked and passed up and I believe schools made a mistake . Surprised to hear Rick Rude put down Sean's atheltism and his non game in the summer time . Your better than that and I'm sure his Dad would think the same of you .

I will put it all to rest without divulging too information that is really unimportant. Is Sean a D1 player, absolutely. Did he fall in love with Bellarmine and feel it was a right fit for him personally, definitely. To compare what a far more established CCH program is doing to a program that frankly is on the rise over the last 5 years is like comparing an apple to an orange. Has nothing to do with who is coaching who. A lot of recruiting has to do with being seen as well as having some established contacts which CCH does, certainly nothing wrong with that at all. Cooper has been in existence 9 years and as I stated is on the rise from an exposure standpoint as both Sean and Adam Kunkle are D1 type players and Kunkle already has D1 offers.

 

As for McNeil, he had a D1 offer from a MAC school that was unaware that he had signed with Bellarmine early and was prepared to extend an offer to him and frankly I don't know that he would have changed his decision anyway because at the end of the day the player has to feel comfortable and fit is sometimes more comfortable than the level in which the school resides.
