BG Massacre/Ban Survey

Featured Replies

I'm not buying this poll. I want to hear the leading question and how it was asked. 10000% was a survey to make Trump supporters seem dumb and make those on the far left feel superior.

On one hand, I fully agree with your cynical view. It's my nature as well. However, we've shown over the years that we're not the most in-tune society.

This link shows that it's not the first time a group has supported policy using a fake as justification.

You could probably ask a question about the Somerset tsunami of 2003 and many people would answer in the affirmative about it as well. Probably could even describe the news coverage of the destruction the tsunami caused in Southern Kentucky that year.

It's been my experience that no one wants to seem to be out of touch and they will act like they remember or know all about anything you ask them if there is a sliver of plausibility to it.

We agree on that. Scary, though.

Very!

It is a sad state of affairs that so many are out of touch of how our government works, current events and past happenings. That is why I mixed a heavy dose of current events with history, so that students could see how history and civics weave their way into everyday life.

Good idea.

I don't love Bill O'reilly, but the Watters World segment on Fox News is priceless when it comes to getting a pulse on the number of people that have a clue. It is similar to what Jay Leno used to do when he would go on the street and ask questions that everyday Americans should know the answer to.

Five words. The Man Show. Women's Suffrage.

The average person on the street, sad to say, is not all that bright.

This reminds me also of the video circulating a few years ago asking random people on the street which health system they prefer… Obamacare or The Affordable Care Act.

It was hilarious on such a sad level.

That one always gives me a big laugh.

You're right, mcpapa, and it's far too wide spread.
