Guess not. Didn't realize they patriotic songs were any type of statement.

As for the "Born This Way", can't say I was paying close enough attention to her lyrics. A co-worker told me about the "Born This Way" song a little after my original post. My stance is that 80% (making that up) of those that watched probably had no clue because they aren't all that familiar with her or her music, so they wouldn't have caught the "inclusive statement". I sure didn't and I was looking for some type of statement haha!

Same here! Posted those same comments in another thread.

[i'm putting this in the NFL forum hoping to divert political comments from the Results thread (I am already an offender over there)]

Breaking stories tomorrow:

1. Liberals will claim since Brady is friends with President Trump that the Russians hacked the super bowl.

2. CNN will say Atlanta had more fans at the stadium so they should have won, and you're a racist.

:laugh::lol2::laugh::lol2::laugh::lol2::laugh::lol2::laugh:

Martellus Bennett had already said last week that he would not visit the White House.

Pretty dumb. Going to the white house doesn't mean you support the Presidents views on everything.

Good, he is a former reject from Dallas who wouldnt be getting many targets if Gronk wasnt hurt.

All he can do is bad mouth Jason Witten.

:lol2: He's one of the better TEs in the game.

No he isn't.

I didn't. I was too busy enjoying the show and having fun with my family...:dancingpa

Nor did I. Much ado about nothing.

I actually think if he doesn't like Trump he should not go. He may look foolish if he is the only one and may regret it later (not being with his team for such a nice honor) but I respect his decision.

Now the press will be hypocritical about it. He will be seen as voicing his opinion. If someone boycotted Obama (don't remember anyone doing it), the press would probably call that person disrespectful or even racist.

At least one player did. Maybe Matt Birk?

I got a feeling that a few of Bennett's teammates will probably join him.

He was extremely solid in Chicago.

And in New York. And this year in New England.

In all honesty, the only place he hasn't been very good is in Dallas and that's just because they're too incompetent to know how to use multiple TEs.

But he's black and has different views. That takes away a lot from his stats. /s
