Rhinegeist Getting Political

Featured Replies

In what should be no surprise they are getting a little more backlash on Facebook.

Easier for the Busch Light crowd to find.

Much ado about nothing. Donate 10% of one of their many brews. It may get some folks to buy some Truth but it costs them next to nothing to do this promotion and wins the hearts of their clientele.

Lol the gram is a young mans game. Facebook is the nursing home of social media.

Pretty much. Nothing good comes from Facebook.

The only good thing that comes from facebook is all the recipe videos that are on their. Kind of weird but good ideas on different foods to make.

They can donate their money to whomever or whatever they want.

Why would/should anyone possibly care what they do with it?

When they publicize it they open themselves up to that. I agree with you otherwise.
Btw, I looked up Truth. It's one I actually rated as slightly above what it's Untapp'd rating is.

I really enjoy it quite a bit. Wasn't planning on buying one this week and probably still won't. Either way, it ain't gonna get me to stop drinking Rhinegeist.

I was a little surprised they took a stance either way.

They gotta try and steal some thunder from Madtree and their new facility opening in less than two weeks.

I was definitely wondering what you'd think. Based on past posts I'd assume you don't totally support the stance they took.

I tend to often find myself having "mixed feelings" about a lot of things like this. In the end, it's their decision to do what they want with their money, just like it is for me to do with mine.

I'm not one to really boycott a place unless I've felt personally slighted by them, this won't stop me from crushing some Truth, just maybe not this week haha!

Don't care who any of them support. I don't agree with Chick-fil-a on gays an seat there because I like it, will do the same with Rheingeist. Truth will be in my cooler when I golf, same as last year.

I don't see an issue with someone not giving dollars to a business who supports something that is antithetical to their beliefs for issues that carry great importance. Seems logical.

I have no problem with businesses having beliefs or taking stands. But if I know the money I spend will be going to a group I fundamentally disagree with then I could not in good conscience give them my business.

Agreed and have no problem with either you or the biz.
