I don't get it either. Dumb.

Years ago I worked with some Indian dudes at the same time the World Cricket Games were being held, and they had me watch it with them while they broke it down to me.

It puzzled me much at first, but they finally got me to the point that I started understanding it. One thing that I really had a hard time wrapping my head around was the bails, stumps, and wicket, but I finally had a breakthrough to understand that.

Sadly though my education was brief, and I haven't committed myself to continue to watch it since, and my learning was 20 years ago, so I would almost have to start from scratch again to relearn it.

What would a media interview with a Curling coach sound like?

Media: "Coach are you doing anything special for the big match with Saskatoon?"

Coach: "Well, we've been working really hard with our stone speed and brushing strokes. Got to get the pace and timing just right, eh?"

Jai-Alai. This sport would even drive Jesus crazy. Then again, maybe only Jesus could figure out this damn game. Kinda reminds me of racquetball but the racquet thingy seems to be strapped to the player's arm. I guess holding the racquet in your hand is too hard.

The guy in the suit who signaled a successful whatever with the two-hand point thingy was enough to keep any sports fan watching. I'll wait for that part and figure out the rest in between.

The goal umpire signals a goal (6 pts.) with two hands pointed forward at elbow height, or a behind (1 pt.) with one hand.

Never been impressed by something I'm almost positive I can do. I'm a great driver, in all situations. I can't dunk a basketball, will never run for 100 yards in a football game, and will never hit MLB pitching. But I can drive great. The most athletic thing those guys in car racing do is hold in their urge to pee and poop for a few hours. Wait, don't those silly-looking suits they wear allow them to pee themselves? Yeah, I'm even less impressed.

I have far more respect for the guys who drive on the local weekly circuits. Those guys still at least work on their own cars.

You forgot: "And, if the brush tines aren't sharpened just right, we're screwed."

Did he want you to check out his wicket? You know, to see if the dimensions were what they should be. All I know is that they are pretty tall and several inches apart.

I so want this job more than anything. I have nice straight fingers. And I can look very stoic when I want to.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the hat. Aussie FB was great. Can't we get that back on ESPN Ocho somehow?

Tennis. I do not understand the scoring.

Just a quick question--- Is the guy on the left a cricket referee or a proctologist about to sweep into action??? Damn, crazy sport.
