Campbell County - CovCath Frosh and JV games canceled - Unknown Why

I'm sure they are working on a re-schedule if the calendars align.

What??????

Is it an open-air gym?

No, it is a poor building design and a long standing issue at CovCath.

Covington Catholic and Newport Catholic are the only two gyms I've been in that had games called due to condensation on the floor. They are essentially the same design. CCH/NCC game a few years ago was stopped in the 3rd qtr due to condensation.

In the interest of saving money, the diocese had the the architect design New Cath, Cov Cath and St. Agnes grade school from the same base floorplan. The gyms/school offices were reversed between Cov Cath and New Cath, and St. Agnes originally had no gym, did not include the 3rd floor, and had the offices located closer to the center of the building.

I had an oldtimer in the construction industry give me a couple of vintage ads from some trade magazines that included images of the original architects models for the schools. Told me he knew I was a "Cov Cath guy" and figured I'd like them. Pretty cool.

They need a large AC unit solely for the gym and the problem would be solved. A booster brought this up at NewCath several years back but someone shot down the solution so problem continues
