OK, @Mr. Sixer - time to talk about this game.

The clear top 2 teams coming into the season. Both are battling injuries to key players but are still 1 and 2.

IMO the two teams that play the hardest in the 9th. Two teams that win with defense.

Cooper is missing the McNeil boys and CCH is missing CJ Fredrick and his cousin Jack Davin.

Both teams still have a lot of talent.

Dayton Dunbar's pressure D helped CCH prepare for Cooper's D. CCH will need to take care of the ball better than they did against Dunbar.

Varsity only. Could be a sellout. Two big student sections as well.

Can't wait.

So none of the injured will play in this one?

Can't speak for CCH but the injured players for Cooper will not play so their work will be cut out for them and will need the same effort displayed in the Lex Cath tourney and vs. Holmes this past Friday.

Should be a fun one. Wish the McNeil's were able to suit up for this one but it should still be a good game in front of a rocking crowd! I would assume tickets are gone by now as I had to get mine a week in advance, and they are not taking any one trying to buy tickets at the door. Not to mention, coaches passes, from what I have heard, they are only taking the 1st 50 of them.

Has anyone heard what time the doors open? I'd like to get there early and get a good seat if at all possible

As far as the game goes, I think Cooper's X-Factor in this game could be Blaine Walters (#20). If CCH Walters is guarding him he has to be able to stretch him away from the basket and knock down some 3's to open up some lanes for Kunkel, Hendrix, and Runion

I agree with this and will go so far as to say this game could come down to Walter vs. Walters. If Jake establishes a presence inside the game becomes much simpler for CCH. If Walters can make 3's and draw Walter away from the basket then it will be easier for Cooper to finish.

This said, based on their success against Dunbar I could see CCH showing plenty of match-up zone and Jake switching to a lesser scoring threat when CCH plays man.

Another key will be how the refs call this one - two very physical and aggressive teams. Have to think the refs let them play - it would be a shame for foul trouble to be the difference.

I'd love to see each team's scouting report of their opponent. There won't be any mysteries on Wednesday night.

Blaine Walters has made 9 of 29 3s this season.

Blaine Walters has made 9 of 29 3s this season.

He doesn't need to make 4-5 Wednesday - just enough to be more efficient than Walter and force CCH to make an adjustment.

He is a good shooter - his biggest challenge Wednesday won't be mechanics, it will be shutting out the crowd, staying in the moment, and playing.

This is a game that forces youngsters to grow up fast!

Play coach.

You have an opposing player who shoots only 31%. Let's round it up to 33 for easy math.

How many 3s would he have to make before you adjust your D?

CCH is still down 2 guys as well.

No poll for this one?

CCH is still down 2 guys as well.

They are down 2 guys, but still have the deepest bench in NKY. and possibly the state.
