Helluva game. I hated to see us lose that game but that was a fun game to watch. Proud of my Rebels. They've come a long way in a short amount of time. Love what I am seeing from them.

I expect these 2 to play 2 more times at least.

What an incredible game. Can't expect anything less from Lincoln/Boyle. Both coaches were in admiration of the other program at the end of the game. Just a great rivalry from top to bottom.

Noah Young had 27 points for Lincoln County.

 

Devin Alcorn had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. His defense on Bryce Slone was the story of the game. Bryce didn't have a point in the first half and only took 2 shots in the first half and that was due to the defense applied by Alcorn. IMO Alcorn is the best defender in the 12th Region and he showed why tonight.

 

Chase Phillips had 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Will Bramel led Boyle County in scoring with 14 points and he also had 2 blocked shots.

 

Baby J had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

 

Bryce Slone had 11 points and 3 rebounds. With the score 43-40 Lincoln County with 6.9 seconds left in regulation Bryce took the ball the full length of the court and hit a step back 23 foot three pointer to tie the game and send it to the first OT. Unbelievable shot from an unbelievable player.

 

Reese Smith had 10 points and 9 rebounds. The stats show that Noah Young had 27 points but Noah had to earn each point as Reese made it tough for Noah all night long. Reese did a fantastic job defending Noah Young and is definitely Boyle County's best defender as he always guards the top offensive threat from the opposition and he did a great job on Noah tonight.

I agree. Tonight was a lot of fun. Whole lot of fun between two programs that have a tremendous amount of respect for one another.
