I've found Ironman training is the only thing that can do this. Believe me, I've tried...

Even this has it's limits. Now with you being semi-pro training 18+ hours week, it probably isn't a problem. Us average age groupers still may struggle, at times.

What are everyone's thoughts on quinoa?

If done right I don't mind it. Awesome quinoa salad from Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis. From the menu: Crack Power Salad. Quinoa, millet, black beans, corn, spinach, almonds, avocado and Native-harvested, hand-parched wild rice combine into a powerhouse of essential nutrients dressed in lemon-thyme pomegranate dressing

Three quinoa dishes that have been on heavy rotation.

Mediterranean bowl - I marinate chickpeas in lemon juice and herbs, gf bakes chicken with balsamic and a few spices, cut up a cucumber. Throw it all together with quinoa.

Burrito bowl - steak or chicken, fajita veggies, guac, salsa

Asian bowl - gf does an awesome chicken or pork loin stir fry with broccoli, carrots, and other good stuff. I bet this one is rather high in sodium.
