TheDeuce
What are everyone's thoughts on quinoa? Not a fan.
bugatti
I've found Ironman training is the only thing that can do this. Believe me, I've tried... Even this has it's limits. Now with you being semi-pro training 18+ hours week, it probably isn't a problem. Us average age groupers still may struggle, at times.

mexitucky
What are everyone's thoughts on quinoa? By all accounts it is great. I'm not patient enough to use it correctly.
bugatti
What are everyone's thoughts on quinoa? If done right I don't mind it. Awesome quinoa salad from Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis. From the menu: Crack Power Salad. Quinoa, millet, black beans, corn, spinach, almonds, avocado and Native-harvested, hand-parched wild rice combine into a powerhouse of essential nutrients dressed in lemon-thyme pomegranate dressing
TheDeuce
I heard they have new rowing machines at my gym, gonna give them a try tonight. Anybody with any experience on them? Like or dislike?
formerkywrestler
By all accounts it is great. I'm not patient enough to use it correctly. How do you use it incorrectly? I've been making it in the rice cooker and using it in place of rice.

formerkywrestler
One of my biggest problems is when I lower my carbs I seem to bonk like crazy. Quinoa has been a nice replacement for things like rice/pasta and I still have the energy to get through my workouts.

formerkywrestler
Three quinoa dishes that have been on heavy rotation. Mediterranean bowl - I marinate chickpeas in lemon juice and herbs, gf bakes chicken with balsamic and a few spices, cut up a cucumber. Throw it all together with quinoa. Burrito bowl - steak or chicken, fajita veggies, guac, salsa Asian bowl - gf does an awesome chicken or pork loin stir fry with broccoli, carrots, and other good stuff. I bet this one is rather high in sodium.

HammerTime
Nothing more true than this. Some bodies are different than others, but generally speaking you cannot outwork a poor diet. So true, this is my problem.
