January 7, 20179 yr The nation's top-ranked shooting guard, Hamidou Diallo, has committed to play for UK.
January 7, 20179 yr Diallo has four (4) options: 1. Play the rest of this season & return next year as a sophomore; 2. Play the rest of this season & declare for the NBA draft; 3. Sit out the remainder of this year & return next season as a frosh 4. Sit out the remainder of this year & declare for the NBA. It seems unlikely he'd use four (4) years of eligibility, so might as well have him active this year (assuming it doesn't affect the roster/scholarship situation).
January 7, 20179 yr He's said that he's not playing this season and that he is going to play next season in college. Obviously that could change, but I think he hangs around and is the best offensive weapon the Cats have next season.

January 7, 20179 yr Can he practice with the team even if he sits out? Yes. As long as he's enrolled this semester.
January 7, 20179 yr Yes. As long as he's enrolled this semester. In that situation he'd technically be considered a redshirt, correct?
January 7, 20179 yr In that situation he'd technically be considered a redshirt, correct? I'm not sure how that works.
January 8, 20179 yr Author UK's 5th 5 star recruit for next year and Cal is not finished yet.....only at UK. #BBN .
January 8, 20179 yr According to ESPN the Cats now have committed 6 of the top 41 high school players in the country. unreal
January 8, 20179 yr Not knocking the class, but only 2 of them rated in top 2 at their position. Most are 5th best or worse at their position according to Catspause rankings. We've had classes where nearly all of the players or at least the top 5 were all the top 1, 2 or 3 at their position. That said, I trust Cal completely.
