WLWT Cincinnati (NBC) & Direct TV have reached an impasse on pricing negotiations and now WLWT is “blacked out” on Direct TV. I’m soooo salty - I wanted to watch football tonight.

Happening in Jacksonville as well with the CBS and Fox affiliates.

Just brought my kitchen tv upstairs and used the antenna.

The channels being mentioned are owned by Hearst Communication and that is who DirecTV has the issue with.

 

Here in Tampa, Hearst owns channel 32 WMOR, an independent station. That channel is now being blocked.

 

The NBC affiliate here, channel 8 WFLA, is owned by Media General. We are having no problems with it and DirecTV.

Blacking out of a local channel is stupid and yes, I have DirecTV.

That is one of the reason's we got rid of DirecTV the price keeps going up. We got tired of paying $130 a month. We now use Amazon Firestick and an antenna to get the local channels.
