December 19, 20169 yr Feel better? Your need to jump on me made you not even comprehend why I phrased the bolded that way. I was demonstrating that logic and faith don't mix, and that you can't use faith as evidence within your argument. How's that open mind of yours working out for you? You do realize you're trying to claim something as a fact that can't be proven, right?
December 19, 20169 yr So you bought his wasted words too? You're trying to present a belief, one that I actually share mind you, as an undisputed fact. Facts are things that can be verified and proven. What you're claiming isn't fact, it's an opinion and belief. Is there anything more ironic than you of all people talking about wasting words? :lol2:

My reality is proof within itself.
December 19, 20169 yr Not an opinion. Not a belief. My reality is proof within itself. Delusion is not reality.

I was demonstrating that logic and faith don't mix, and that you can't use faith as evidence within your argument. How's that open mind of yours working out for you? I didn't feel bad to begin with....mostly because I don't blame my life situation on anyone else but me and my choices...unlike others who insist that they are constantly persecuted and threatened. Just FYI, if you consider that post being "jumped on" then I suggest you go find a quiet corner, some Play Doh and maybe get a cookie or two to help calm your fears.... I'm not buying your pity party anymore on how oppressed you are...while I can accept that you may very well "feel" like you have been oppressed, or "jumped on" as you might say, I doubt very seriously that it is life threatening. As for an open mind, I don't really care what your opinion is, because I believe more than a few have seen how closed yours is...I have no need to be apologetic to a person that I have not offended. But, just to fuel those irrational, unfounded fears, maybe you should be afraid of whatever boogie man lurks behind door number 2.....I'm not, because I know what's there, and I do not fear it....

So this is how you respond when made aware that your last response was a misunderstanding on your part? Instead of admitting it you go on this same old overused rant that speaks volumes of how unfairly and shallow you and your kind play?
December 19, 20169 yr Putting oil executives in responsible positions scares me. I am concerned we will not explore environmental initiatives in the way we should. I have no confidence that Hillary would have either. I believe our world is reaching a point of no turning back of population explosion and loss of species for which we have no idea what the real impact will be. We pretty much have just lost all the Ash trees in North America because of the import of a little insect (Emerald Ash Borer) for which there is no natural enemy here. When are we going to lose one species too many?
December 19, 20169 yr Author So this is how you respond when made aware that your last response was a misunderstanding on your part? Instead of admitting it you go on this same old overused rant that speaks volumes of how unfairly and shallow you and your kind play? Define "Your Kind" please.
December 19, 20169 yr How is it delusional? It's delusional to try and claim a belief and opinion, one that cannot be proven, as a fact. Saying the Patriots won their game yesterday is a fact. It can be proven. Saying one religion is correct and another is false, is a belief or opinion. So too is your claim. It's your belief. It's my belief. It's the belief of the vast majority of people in this world if I had to guess. Unfortunately, it's not something that can be proven. As much as we may believe it, it's not a fact.
December 19, 20169 yr Define "Your Kind" please. Go look in a mirror. Everyone looks the same in the mirror, it's what can't be seen in the mirror that counts, and only you can can see that. I don't agree with too many on here but the ones I disagree with the most on here I bet are cool as crap and would be awesome to talk to and hang out with some.
December 19, 20169 yr In recent times there's somewhat been a notion even through ever tumultuous social strife and disturbing horrific news items that our nation was inching its way however slowly forward to being a more all inclusive accepting nation where the discussion of true justice for all had taken front and center, and most it would seem were buying into it. There's also been obvious resistance to these perceived advancements with an escalated presence of gun happy white and/or Christian types not in approval of the direction they were seeing this country take, and Donald Trump's campaign gave rise to allowing those voices of resistance to be heard either by the rhetoric he was espousing, or by selecting a running mate to fill in the gaps in areas that he remained quiet about, allowing the perception to be that the extreme Christian right had also been given a voice. Though I'm not convinced that he is truly concerned about his electorate and their concerns, and had simply used them as a means to accomplish winning the presidency to fulfill his own ego, I fear that his winning because of them has given them a sense that it's alright that they visibly and vocally take steps backward in the areas of social injustices, while giving back to them that sense of entitlement that they falsely believe should've been theirs in the first place. Whereas the voice of diversity was beginning to make great strides and was finally being heard, there's a sense now that it has been abruptly told that the party's over, leave the country, you don't matter, get back in the closet or consider conversion therapy, and to just shut the hell up and deal with it. Not exactly where half of the people in this country were hoping that things would socially go. I really doubt that most of the people that voted for Trump did so because they were dissatisfied with the social direction of the country. The liberals are REALLY missing the point on this one. It was about two things which really boil into 1.....1) distrust of Hillary and liberal economics and what the country needs to improve economically and that they would send it further the wrong way; and 2) economics and what the country needs to improve economically. Throw everything else in a bucket, and it wouldn't have made a difference to all but a minority of "conservative" voters who voted for Trump....despite what the media may be telling you.
