I judge and view everyday, but it doesnt make me try to dictate anyones life. If I were faced with selling a cake to a gay couple, I sell it. If Im faced with giving a marriage permit to a gay couple, I give it.

 

A christian has to be a good witness, and hopefully they will see it my way, if not, then their loss, but I tried.

 

I lose nothing by being true to myself. I lose a lot living a wasted life by casting aside reality and following unprovable man-made philosophies. And which philosophy? This might depend on where In this world I was raised, and by whom.

What does being a good witness mean? If it means offering religious beliefs to those who weren't asking for them, then IMO overstepping one's boundaries. This has been apparent to me my entire life. Those who believe as they do have never had any reason to challenge or disbelieve what they've been indoctrinated to believe their whole lives, so seeing past that for them is merely impossible, or a struggle at best.

 

No one is trying to drive religion out of existence. People are free to worship all day, everyday and twice on Sundays along with a Fried Chicken covered dish picnic social in the park if they like. I'd be more than happy to grab a plate and make sure to get a good helping of the bread crumb crusted mac n' cheese, and while I respect other's right to worship and believe as they do it's only right that they respect my freedom to live and believe how I do as long as none of us are crossing the lines of infringement.

I'm holding a small red ball in the palm of my closed hand that only I can see. You insist that my hand is empty when I know for certain that it is not. You claim that I am lying or say that if there is a ball in my hand that it's not red, but green. I say "No, I absolutely do have a ball in my hand and it in fact is red".

I have learned in my life just because I think something is right does not mean it is, especially when I am trying to justify something. Its been a slippery slope for myself as well as many, many more. I can rant and rant and rant, but that does not change what ultimately is real Truth. Christians by virtue of how it works follow the Bible. Now if you dont like what the Bible says I would say take it up with the Author and Finisher of our Faith. At least we dont want you dead like Muslims.

It's not whether the ball is red, or even if a ball is present in your hand...it's the belief that what you have in your hand is an absolute right to hold....sometimes it's not.

 

If only others would subscribe to your belief in "live and let live" but that's not good enough....no it has to be "live and let live under my rules and expectations for right and wrong"...that's is where infringement begins and freedom ends.
