Wow! Didn't even realize this game was being played. I saw the Mason vs Mercer prediction thread and assumed they didn't play til the weekend. Why wasn't there a Mason vs Ryle prediction thread?

Won't win many games shooting 27 percent from the field, including 4 of 28 from three. Also when you shoot 7 free throws to Ryles 25.

 

Maybe when you shoot 28 threes you don't give yourself a chance to get to the line very often?

Shooting 28 threes and not shooting many free throws sounds like they weren't attacking the basket.

 

Looks like Ryle was able to score on Mason as well. Defense let down? Looking past Ryle to Mercer?

Yes didn't attack the basket much. Ryle scored 19 from the line, don't know about looking ahead just think they had a very off night shooting the ball.

1) there are virtually no Lady Raider fans who post on BGP.

 

2) Mason co was clearly looking past the young Raiders to the BIG GAME, especially with Ryle's only returning starter out with an injury.

Ryle played with great effort. MC thought they could shoot their way back into the game but never did. Their scrambling press also was not as effective as it should have been.

 

Something is just not clicking with the Lady Royals. I don't know if they are looking towards big games or trying to coast to the districts and regionals or if there are any team issues. But don't take away anything from Ryle. They played with a lot of will to win!

They haven't seemed to the same to me since there coaching change. Not saying..... just saying....

 

I didn't want to say that, but tend to agree. Not sure if its the coaching or the players just getting burned out. This is not a knock, I have all kinds of respect for that group. Used to play them in AAU some and loved their team. But for some reason, they just haven't seemed to improve (as a team) since their run a couple years ago. Again, not starting crap, just an observance from the outside. I have a theory, but will listen first! LOL!
