I would say with Warren Central's 40-27 loss at Manual tonight, Christian County has probably moved into the lead in WKY 4A...at least after Week 4.

Keith Tandy of Christian County had a career tonight. He gashed the Henry Clay for what seemed like 500 passing yards. He was outstanding!

 

Chase Minniefield runs, catches, throws, kicks, punts, tackles, etc. etc. He is some talented all-around player.

They scored 50 points, I wouldn't call that lucky.

Christian Co. has been playing well defensively. (This is the 1st year in the Mike Whitaker era that he's had the same Defensive Coordinator for 2 straight years). The've lost 2 key defensive starters for the year but with over 20 seniors are getting kids to step up. They was expected to be solid up front returning 4 starters and their top 2 reserves. Whitaker wants to establish a better running game then he's been getting from his RB's and quit relying on the big play and Tandy's scrambles.

They would not have been the first team in football history to score 50 points and lose a game. Their defense, especially against Tandy's long balls, was atrocious.

Wow! Was this an arena football game?Looks like H.C. needs some work on pass coverage and pass rush to compete with the Trinities and St.X's of the world but they obviously know how to score!

HC might need some work defensively, but not as much as you think. Keith Tandy (Christian County's QB) can make defenses look silly. He is a special player.

The radio broadcast said Tandy was 21 of 38 for 429 yds passing. In addition, he had 16 carries for 101 yds. Strike a pose Tandy. If he keeps playing like that...Mr. Beaumont will probably vote for him!

Obviously, great stat-line for Keith Tandy.

 

What the stat-line does not effectively communicate is the heart this kid has. He has a true "refuse to lose" attitude that will bode well for him as an athlete on the next level.
