December 3, 20169 yr The conference champs made it look pretty easy. I figured they would win, but not as convincingly.
December 3, 20169 yr No team scares Bama, but Petersen with a month to plan could potentially make it interesting. With Boise he was great when he could really prepare for a team for a while. Took down some big teams. Obviously none were Bama or as good as this Bama team, but he does at least have a track record of pulling big upsets.
December 3, 20169 yr Alabama, Washington and Ohio State are in. The final spot hinges on the Clemson game
December 3, 20169 yr I'm of the opinion that Clemson will either win by 40 or lose at the end. Either way I really believe that Clemson should be the 4 seed. To me, the PAC-12, Big 10 and SEC are all better this year and Clemson hasn't looked as good as Bama, OSU or Washington. That said, Clemson if they get in will have a shot. Watson is good enough to keep them in any game.
December 3, 20169 yr Washington looked great. I've been skeptical of Washington since the USC game, but I think they are clearly a top 4 team after last night.
December 3, 20169 yr Yep Washington is in. I'm hoping they jump to 3 OSU vs Washington and Bama vs Clemson would be the best first round matchups.
December 3, 20169 yr I'm thinking Washington is going to stay at 4 and OSU and Clemson will switch spots. I think the committee would want Ohio State or Clemson playing in the Champ against Bama.

December 3, 20169 yr So what happens now if Clemson goes down? 2 loss non conference champ Michigan or 2 loss conference champ Wisconsin or Penn St. IMO winning a major conference title with the same record as Michigan should be the trump card.
December 3, 20169 yr So what happens now if Clemson goes down? 2 loss non conference champ Michigan or 2 loss conference champ Wisconsin or Penn St. IMO winning a major conference title with the same record as Michigan should be the trump card. That's the big question. I actually think it would be Michigan. Wisconsin would be champs without having to beat either OSU or Michigan all year to win it. Or if Penn State wins it, their overall resume still would not be great, and Michigan would have beat them by 40 already.
